Preset Details
Quarter
A simple quarter note tape delay. This preset has presence, but sits nicely behind your dry signal and helps bring some width and depth to your parts. I use this preset a lot when playing big chord rakes and need some sustain.
Dotted
My "go to" preset. I use this all the time live, as well as in the studio. This preset has a decent amount of feedback and a higher mix. As soon as I turn this preset on, every part sounds wider and fuller.
Eighth
Similar to the Quarter preset, but with a little less low end. Since this preset has a little more modulation, it adds a lot of character to your parts. I really like using this one for those cleaner quick picking parts.
Chime
This preset is similar to the Dotted preset, but with a pretty high mix, as well as a good amount of modulation. This works great for those "chimey" parts when playing higher inversions on the neck. Think U2 vibes.
Dual
Width and rhythm is all I'm looking for when I use this one. The two different delays play off of each other and create a super cool wide rhythmic sound. I love using this for really drivey parts either low or high on the neck.
Reverse
My go to reverse delay. This works great when I want something that has some character and adds a little extra something. I usually use this in low moments of a song when it calls for it. Raise the mix all the way up and you get instant ambient textures.
Sparkle
This is another one I use in low moments. I love to pair this with a big reverb. It's really practical during low moments of a song when you want to take up some space and do more texture stuff. This one is great for really washy, swell parts. When you dig in, the sparkles get louder.
Slap!
A dBucket slap delay. Great for when you don't need delay, but just want some kind of decay to beef up your tone and give you some width. Kind of sounds like a spring reverb. I use this when playing different riffs or solo's and have a lot of gain on my guitar, or any kind of “spanky” part. I normally leave the tempo where it is set and don’t touch it.
